Currently based in Paris, France, Pola was born in Krakow, Poland and lived in Chicago for many years. She is a writer and runs the popular blog Jetting Around. She is also a Business English Trainer.

WHERE ARE YOU CURRENTLY BASED? WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?
 
I moved to Paris in early 2016. In addition to travel blogging and freelance writing, I teach Business English.

WHAT BROUGHT YOU OVERSEAS?
 
Paris is my favorite city. I knew when I first came here a decade ago that visiting would not be enough. But it took time to buy that one way ticket…
 
Also, I was born in Europe (Krakow), so it's a return to this side of the pond.

DID YOU STUDY ABROAD IN THE PAST (OR PRESENT)? IF SO WHAT PROGRAM AND WHERE?
 
I studied English in Krakow and Marketing Communications in Chicago. It wasn't your traditional study abroad situation, since I lived in those cities and didn't specifically move for school.

ANY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR FUTURE YOUNG AMERICANS?
 
Do study abroad if you get the chance. Getting to know another country, its culture and people will make you grow in ways that may surprise you! And you'll be better prepared for the increasingly global job market and future leadership positions.
